364.   SOLD   Canada.  Ventures Ltd.  Prospectus.  Incorporated in Toronto 1928.  Venture Ltd was the parent company of too many mining, smelting and metal refineries to list here.  They also had sole right to the Archibald alumina process outside of the US.  There are 5 pieces included in this lot.  A report on the Falconbridge Nickel Mines Ltd.  A report on Eureka Corp Ltd including an article about the company from a Nov 1946 Reno Gazette.  Two articles about subsidiaries of Venture Ltd from the Northern Miner 1946.  The 1945 and 1946 Annual Reports for Ventures Ltd.  All in excellent condition.  8 pgs.  $50

365.    SOLD Canada. British Columbia.  Pioneer Gold Mines Ltd Annual Report 1950.  Incorporated in 1928 with the acquisition of the Pioneer Mine in B.C.  As stated in this 1950 annual report, the company had procured a healthy profit from gold and silver production.  Not included in the prospectus is the affiliations with several other companies including:  Vananda MC, Transcontinental Resources Ltd, Ranney Gold Mines Ltd, Northern Canada Mines Ltd, East Amphi Gold Mines Ltd, Lapa Cadillac Gold Mines Ltd, Orcour Gold Mines Ltd, Barrentier Gold Mines Ltd and Prosperpine Mines Ltd.  In 1958, merged with Bralorne Mines Ltd to form Bralorne Pioneer Mines Ltd (Mines Handbook, 1949, 1962).  Very fine.  4 pp.  $20

366.   SOLD   Canada. Ontario. McGarry Township. Virginiatown.  Kerr-Addison Gold Mines Ltd. 1942 Annual Report.  Incorporated in Canada 1932.  The company’s mine and mill were located in Virginiatown.  The company produced over 160,000 ounces of gold and nearly 8,000 ounces of silver as reported in this 1942 annual report.  At the end of 1944, the mine had a reserve of 8.3 million tons averaging 0.2 oz/ton gold (Mines Handbook, 1946).  Excellent condition, soft cover, 10 pp.  $25

366A.  SOLD Costa Rica. Central American Land, Colonization, and Mining Co., 1891, 44pp with folding map. Promotional book of this company, based in New York, for exploration and business development of American interests in Costa Rica. Color cover, perfect bound, soft cover. Very interesting attempt to colonize in Costa Rica. Also included are subscription forms for buying the stock of the company. $150.

367.    England.  Reports for Her Majesty’s Representatives Abroad on Mining…April 1887.  Prepared in response to a request in the House of Commons as to the laws in various countries regulating the ownership in minerals and mining rents and royalties.  Includes reports on France, Germany, Austria-Hungry, Italy, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Norway and the US.  A ‘duct tape’ repair along binding.  Front and rear covers missing several pieces.  Front cover nearly detached.  Very fine.  45 pp.  $75

Paris.  Ateliers H.M.S.  A product catalog for Ateliers H.M.S. company of Paris, France.  The products are large stone cutting, moving and polishing machines.  A letter is enclosed, date 1928, addressed to the Chicago & Bloomington Stone Co.  Every page of the catalog is printed in English and has an illustration of some piece of machinery.  Several addendum sheets for machines printed in French.  Excellent condition.  31 pp.  $100

369.  SOLD    Honduras. Yuscaran.  Honduras American Syndicate 1920 Annual Report.  Incorporated in Delaware.  A very descriptive 1920  report of the property and geology of several controlled mines in the vicinity of Yuscaran, Honduras.  Several photographs of local villages.  Front and back cover detached.  Damage to bottom left edge.  16 pp.  $25


370.   SOLD   Honduras. Yuscaran.  Mines of Yuscaran Operations Report.  A 1923 report of operations written by William Ferguson, mining engineer, to the U.S. Continental Mines Co.  There 10 photographs and 5 maps.  Mining in the district begin well before Spanish invasion c. 1510.  The Spanish then operated and controlled mining from 1530 to 1800.  Front and back cover detached.  Damage to left edge.  Fine condition, soft cover, 16 pp.  $25

371.    Mexico. Durango.  Promontorio Silver Mine.  Paper presented before the American Institute of Mining Engineers, Toronto Meeting, July, 1907 authored by Francis Church Lincoln.  The mine was located on the north end of the Sierra San Francisco de Coneto in the town of Promontoria, State of Durango.  A detailed geologic report of the ore, country rocks and mineralogy.  There are several photos of the mine site and surroundings with attendant maps.  Fine.  $100

372.    Panama. Veraguas. San Francisco. Great Remance GMC. Promotional Flyer.  Incorporated in New York.  In 1887, the Great Remance GMC was promoting their claim in Panama stating that it was the longest continuous gold-quartz vein.  There are a few testimonials to validate this statement.  This company is not listed in the 1905 Copper Handbook.  Edges worn, several small pieces missing from edges, small tears along folds.  3 pp.  $50
