We are excited about the many collections of quality material we have received for consignment in the last several years and we are always interested in getting more.

We sell material by two methods, internet auction (we generally hold one sale every two months) and live auction sales (we generally hold four to six per year). The live auctions are typically reserved for what we consider "fine" material, or rare items worth over $100-200.

Our commission rates are generally the same for everyone - 25% for items or lots that sell for over $100 each and 35% for items or lots that sell for less than $100. Although we have no photo fees, no insurance fees and no gimmicks, items or lots with reserves which do not sell are assessed with a $25 lot fee to compensate for cataloging costs.

We use our experience and judgment to assign estimates. We market extensively through advertising and participation in trade shows, and we find that most items sell for premium prices. There are, however, unpredictable times when items sell for less than expected -- this is usually balanced by items selling for premiums. We cannot predict market prices or conditions.

Payment is made within 45 days of auction close. There are rare occaisions when a client requests more than 30 days to pay and in this case, we specifically discuss with consignors before the sale.

Contracts are sent after scheduling of items for corresponding upcoming auctions.

Once we receive material, a preliminary inventory will be sent to the consignor. After lots are made ready for auction, a second inventory is sent of lots appearing in a specific auction with the corresponding catalog. Sometimes parts of collections are held over for another auction which may better benefit a consignor.
